Details:

Ellison Sweezey, age 31, was killed and Paulyn Estioko was injured when the car that she was driving was hit by a car being driving by Richard Rosario. Mr. Rosario, who had stolen the car that he was driving, was being chased by three police officers at the time of the fatal accident. The plaintiffs claimed that the officers and Rosario were negligent. Rosario was convicted of manslaughter and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
