First Guantanamo Detainee Comes to U.S. for Trial

For the first time, the U.S. government has initiated a federal trial for a Guantanamo Bay detainee who is not an American citizen. Ahmed Ghailani, a Tanzanian accused of participating in two 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Africa, pleaded not guilty yesterday at a U.S. District Court hearing in New York City.

Air France Debris Gives Clues

Seventeen more bodies and a large tail section from the crash of Air France flight 447 were pulled from the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday. Heather Snively, an eight-month pregnant Washington County, Oregon resident, was found dead last Friday in a kitchen crawl space in an Oregon home.  Twenty-eight year old Korena Roberts has been charged with Snively's murder.  Per Dr. Christopher Young, Snively was the victim of homicidal violence and died from blunt force trauma and sharp-force injuries.
