Joseph Wibbels, Member of Wibbels Law Office PLLC
Joe Wibbels is a labor and employment law and personal injury attorney with broad-based experience. He has successfully led and handled a wide variety of legal matters for clients, ranging from union contract negotiations, employment discrimination lawsuits, personal injury / car accident cases, severance packages, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, sexual harassment litigation, wrongful termination, unpaid overtime pay cases, retaliation lawsuits, employee arbitrations and mediations, and cases involving the rights of federal employees.
Joe has represented clients throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana, ranging from Ashland to Louisville, Owensboro, Elizabethtown, Bardstown, Shepherdsville, Crestwood, Somerset, Frankfort, Pikeville, Anchorage, Jeffersonville and LaGrange
Prior to the launch of his own law office in early 2009, Joe practiced with the labor and employment law firm of Segal, Lindsay & Janes, PLLC, in Louisville, Kentucky. From 1996 through 1998, Joe served as a federal law clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Peggy E. Patterson, in Ashland, Kentucky.
Education
Joe attended the Chicago-Kent School of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology, graduating in 1996. Chicago-Kent is home to one of the premier labor employment law programs in the country, and Joe was in the top 1/4 of his class and on Law Review there. He also worked throughout his law school career as a labor and employment law research assistant to Professor Martin H. Malin and served as a legal writing teaching assistant to Professor Mary Rose Strubbe in his final year of attendance.
For his undergraduate work, Joe attended Centre College in Danville, Kentucky graduating with his B.A. in 1990. He graduated cum laude, and was honored by induction as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society, the nation's oldest and most prestigious academic honor society, founded on December 5, 1776.

Joe is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Louisville Bar Association.
He is admitted to practice by the Kentucky Bar Association, the United States District Court for both the Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Western District of Kentucky, the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
