Stephen Wagner

Stephen M. Wagner grew up in Indianapolis and attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School where he graduated as co-valedictorian in 1987. Mr. Wagner graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1991 with B.A. in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and received his J.D. cum laude from the Indiana School of Law Bloomington in 1994. After being accepted to the Attorney General's Honors Program, Mr. Wagner worked for the Department of Justice in 1994-1995 as staff counsel for the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1996 Mr. Wagner returned to Indianapolis to practice with the firm of Riley Bennett & Egloff where he worked primarily in the area of insurance defense litigation. In June, 1997 Mr. Wagner left Riley Bennett, and the defense bar, to found the Wagner Law Firm, P.C., where he practices exclusively in the areas of plaintiff's personal injury, worker's compensation, civil rights, class action litigation and medical malpractice. In June, 2000, Mr. Wagner joined partners Jason R. Reese and Trevor J. Crossen to form Wagner Reese & Crossen, LLP, a firm dedicated to representing injury victims throughout Indiana and nationwide. In 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008, Mr. Wagner was selected by his peers as an "Indiana Super Lawyer", an award presented to the top 5% of practicing attorneys in Indiana as published in the Indianapolis Monthly and Super Lawyer magazines. In 2006, Mr. Wagner was also selected by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association as the Trial Lawyer of the Year. He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of civil rights/Police Brutality litigation and work injuries. Mr. Wagner and his wife, Courtenay, have four children, Jake, Weston, Regan and Mia.

Jason Reese

Jason R. Reese was born in Davenport, Iowa and grew up in Northwest Indiana. Mr. Reese attended the University of Arizona on academic scholarship and graduated at the top of his class magna cum laude.


Mr. Reese received his law degree with honors from Indiana University School of Law--Bloomington in May, 1997. During law school, he clerked for the Cook County State's Attorney's Office - Felony Trial Division in Chicago, Illinois.


After law school, Mr. Reese first practiced with a prominent Lake County law firm, concentrating in the areas of personal injury and professional malpractice litigation. He also volunteered pro bono for the U.S. Federal Public Defender's Office defending Spanish-speaking criminal defendants. Mr. Reese was also elected to the Board of Directors of the Lake County Bar Association.


In 1998, Mr. Reese moved to Indianapolis and, since then, has successfully tried several personal injury cases to juries and judges in various counties throughout the State of Indiana. He is currently a member of the National Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice and serves as an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. For several years, Mr. Reese participated in the prestigious American Sagamore Inn of Court as a Barrister member. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Bar Association Litigation Section.


Mr. Reese is involved in several pro bono and community activites in the Indianapolis area. He serves on the Board of Directors for Centerpoint Counseling, a not-for-profit organization that provides free counseling services to family and children in Marion County. He is a member of the Westminister Legal Services team and serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Arizona Alumni Association. He also volunteers time to his church's pro bono "Ask a Lawyer" program as well as the Indianapolis Bar Association's pro bono "As a Lawyer Day" program.


At the 2003 annual Indiana State Bar Association convention, Mr. Reese was recognized as the "Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year" for his excellence as a lawyer committed to his profession and the community. Mr. Reese has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer and was recognized by attorneys throughout the State as a lawyer in the top 5% of his practice areas as recently published in Indianapolis Monthly and Super Lawyer magazines. In 2004, Mr. Reese was also recognized by his peers and named to the elite Indiana Bar Foundation as a Fellow. In 2007, Mr.Reese was name "Forty Under Forty" by the Indianapolis Business Journal as one the most dynamic business and community leaders in the Indianapolis metro area.


Mr. Reese has handled high-profile cases and has been interviewed by Indianapolis affiliate stations for NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox networks. Mr. Reese and his partners Steve Wagner and Trevor Crossen have been aggressively serving clients throughout Indiana and Nationwide for more than a decade. Mr. Reese's areas of practice include personal injury, professional malpractice, and wrongful death. Mr. Reese and his wife (and law school sweetheart), Jill, live in Carmel with their three young children
