Paul R. Kirst

Mr. Kirst graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1987, and immediately started law school at the University of San Diego School of Law where he obtained his law degree in 1990.

After graduating from law school, his first job was serving as a Clark County District Court law clerk to the Honorable Nancy Becker; he served as her clerk from 1990-1991. Since 1991 Mr. Kirst has practiced in the areas of family law, insurance defense, general civil litigation, and personal injury. He operated his own practice, Paul R. Kirst & Associates, for approximately six years where he specialized in family law. He has also served as staff counsel for two major insurance carriers. Since joining Thorndal, Armstrong, Delk, Balkenbush & Eisinger in 2003, Mr. Kirst  continued to practice family law and insurance defense.

Mr. Kirst also spends signficant time on the bench and in dispute resolution.  He sits as a Pro Tem Hearing Master in both the Domestic Violence and Child Support Courts, as an alternate judge in the Las Vegas Municipal Court, as an arbitrator in both private and Court Mandated arbitrations, and as a District Court Short Trial Judge.
