Andrew J Thompson was admitted to practice law in Indiana in 1990. Mr. Thompson has experience in civil litigation, business law, estate planning, real estate, commercial law, taxation, criminal matters, appeals, and all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, support and domestic actions.
After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University in 1984, Mr. Thompson passed the Uniform Certified Public Accounting examination and worked as a tax specialist with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Company.
He then returned to law school and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1990 before passing the Indiana State Bar exam later that year.
Along with practicing law, Mr. Thompson has worked as a Private Wealth Advisor, as Southeast Regional Director of Estate and Asset Services for the American Cancer Society, and the Executive Director of the American Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology. Mr. Thompson also founded a private consulting business, the Elusen Corporation, serving nonprofit organizations throughout the Midwest and southeastern United States.
He served as an adjunct professor for Indiana Wesleyan University from 1992-1995. Mr. Thompson has served as a volunteer board member for the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monroe County, IN.
