Randy Foret is a Partner with The Foret Law Firm in Dallas, Texas.  His law practice focuses on complex business and securities litigation, as well as oil and gas and energy-related issues.  Randy also has extensive experience defending directors and officers in securities class action matters, and he also represents companies and directors and officers in investigations and enforcement actions instituted by the SEC and other regulatory agencies.    He also has experience with a variety of OSHA compliance issues common to the oil and gas industry, as well as other technology-based industries.

Prior to attending law school, Randy was employed as a drilling fluids engineer and worked on offshore drilling rigs located in the coastal waters of Texas, Louisiana and California. Randy utilizes his “hands-on” experience in the oil & gas industry on a regular basis in his capacity as the outside general counsel of a small environmental start-up company based in The Woodlands, Texas.  As general counsel of this environmental start-up, Randy has gained an in-depth understanding of the environmental issues related to modern shale gas drilling and waste water treatment.

Randy obtained his law degree from Temple University School of Law where he was a research editor for the Temple Environmental Law & Technology Journal.
