Admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States Federal Court for the Southern District of New York since 1974. Mr. Gross has developed a focused expertise in the unique immigration issues of foreign physicians entering, settling, and practicing in the United States. In his almost fourty years of experience Mr. Gross's success in the areas of J-1 waivers, physician licensing, and permanent residence has carved a niche in the medical community that has earned him the respect and admiration of physicians across the nation. Mr. Gross has assisted thousands of physicians and their families come to the United States to train, work, and live. Mr.Gross' intense involvement with J-1 waivers for physicians (which allow foreign physicians the ability to work and live in the United States, after their studies are complete, without being required to first return home for two years) has provided him with the opportunity to not only obtain extraordinary waiver approvals but to be consulted by numerous government agencies regarding the drafting and administration of their programs. Mr. Gross has extensive experience in working with most all Interested Government Agencies as well as the Conrad State 30 programs in furtherance of J-1 waiver requests. Through the course of his work with foreign physicians, Mr. Gross has developed the respect of hospital administrator's, state licensing officials, as well as government officers who assist in the immigration process for physicians.
