Ted Sumner, Member of Sumner Law PC
Ted has been licensed to practice in Oregon since 2000 and Washington since 2005. During that time he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil cases. Those cases include automobile accidents, accidents on the premises of others, civil rights claims, insurance claims, wage and hour disputes, claims against both state and federal governmental agencies, and a wide range of other types of cases.
Having represented both the injured party and the responsible party has given Ted the ability to evaluate cases from both the injured party and insurnance company's perspective. This is a distinct advantage when deciding how to posture your case for proper resolution.
Ted has appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Oregon Supreme Court, the Oregon Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Oregon, a variety of trial courts in Oregon and Washington, and before administrative law judges. This experience has prepared Ted to handle litigation at every level.
