Stephen Foster, Member of Stephen Foster, Attorney at Law

Stephen Foster attended law school at the University of Texas, the highest ranked law school in the state of Texas. Shortly after being licensed in the state of Texas he accepted a position with Alvarez, Notzon & Gutierrez, which was one of the premiere civil law firms based in South Texas.

His first job in criminal law was as an Assistant District Attorney serving Webb and Zapata counties. He was hired by Joe Rubio, a Democrat that still serves as District Attorney today.

His service in Laredo brought him to the attention of Bexar county District Attorney Susan Reed and her staff. He was hired by Susan Reed, a Republican and was placed immediately in her criminal trial division.

While in Criminal trial division he served as first chair prosecutor in county court #9, where Judge Oscar Kazen set a record for the most jury trials tried within a six month period. Stephen Foster was responsible for prosecuting them all.

After serving in county court #9 he was placed in a special position where he would try cases in any court which needed a prosecutor. If a prosecutor was sick or busy on another case, Stephen Foster was the man that was trusted to try the case.

After leaving the Bexar county District Attorney's office, Stephen Foster has been in private practice. He focuses on criminal law so that he can devote his full attention to the unique legal issues that exist in criminal law.

Stephen Foster maintains strong relationships with other attorneys that give the same dedication to their chosen areas of practice as Stephen Foster gives to criminal law.

Stephen Foster believes strongly that every individual that comes into his office needs an attorney that focuses on their individual type of case. Whether Stephen Foster handles a particular case or refers a person to another attorney, he feels strongly that once a person walks through his door that person is entitled to top quality representation.
