Description: Client was charged with forgery in District Court of Johnson County Kansas.

Outcome: After reviewing the state's evidence and interviewing witnesses, I discovered that the State had failed to prosecute this case in a timely manner. Under State v Washington, the statute of limitations had run. Upon my motion to dismiss, the case was dismissed with prejudice and the client was free.
