Roger C. Denton, Member of Schlichter, Bogard & Denton
Mr. Denton has devoted his legal career to representing individuals who have been seriously injured. Mr. Denton has extensive experience litigating pharmaceutical products liability cases involving defective drugs and devices, representing thousands of clients. By achieving record settlements and verdicts in multiple jurisdictions, he has also gained a national reputation as an accomplished trial attorney for litigation under the Federal Employers' Liability Act ("FELA) involving injured railroad employees. Mr. Denton has significant litigation experience in complex cases of dangerous products, professional malpractice, and commercial litigation. Mr. Denton has obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements against Fortune 500 companies and other corporations, building his reputation as an aggressive litigator and trial attorney.
Mr. Denton has not only been active in a number of mass tort actions, but has also served in several leadership roles in these actions. In the Multi-District action, In Re Gadolinium-Based Contrast Products Liability Litigation, Mr. Denton was nominated by his peers for the Plaintiffs' National Steering Committee, a select group of lead plaintiffs' attorneys that direct and oversee this complex litigation. His nomination was confirmed in April 2008 by United States District Judge Dan Polster. Mr. Denton is also a member of the Science and Discovery Committees of the Gadolinium litigation. He has also been a member of the PSC for In Re Ortho Evra Products Liability Litigation, and serves on the Science and Discovery Committees for that litigation as well. He is also a part of the In Re Ortho Evra Products Liability Litigation trial team. As a result of these important leadership roles, he has taken part in deposing executive level employees of Johnson & Johnson and developing expert witnesses in pharmacology, clinical studies, and regulatory issues under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Mr. Denton has been actively involved in many other mass tort litigations including major drug cases Fen-Phen, Vioxx®, and NuvaRing®. He represents clients nationwide in many other defective drug cases and other personal injury cases. Mr. Denton has published articles in legal journals and spoken at national seminars on pharmaceutical litigation and other areas of litigation.

He was admitted to practice law in 1982 in Illinois, in 1983 in Missouri, and in 1998 in Wisconsin.
