Ever since he began his New Jersey Family Law Firm, David F. Salvaggio has abided by a single guiding principle:
Success Is Simple.
Do One Thing And Do It Well.
Unlike so-called full-service or general practice law firms that attempt to handle different types of cases in many areas of the law, our divorce lawyers devote their full attention to the increasingly complex and demanding area of New Jersey Family Law.
Family Law is our passion. We are constantly monitoring the changes and innovations in New Jersey Family Law that may have significant consequences for our clients. When further changes are needed, we relentlessly pursue them. Our focus and enthusiasm result in unparalleled legal representation for our clients.

Yes. Mr. Salvaggio will take the time to personally speak with a potential client by telephone, at no charge whatsoever.
Although Salvaggio Law Group LLC continues to employ the traditional hourly fee billing structure when necessary, we also give many clients the option of fixed fee billing.
The advantages of the fixed fee billing method include:
(1) Customized Fee--David Salvaggio works with each client to explain all of the available options, the costs and benefits of each of those options, and develop a clear mission. Then, a customized fee is developed for each phase of the case, based both on the scope of the mission and the resources necessary to attempt to achieve that mission.
(2) Certainty--Once the fee is determined, it will not increase.
(3) There Is No Chance of Misunderstanding--When the hourly billing method is used, a client often believes that the cost is manageable, because the lawyer's initial retainer is much lower than the final cost of the case. When the lawyer sends the client the first hourly-based invoice, which announces that the initial retainer has been exhausted and needs to be replenished, the lawyer and client are sometimes at odds.
(4) Goal Orientation--Last but not least, fixed fee billing puts the emphasis on the task at hand rather than the time which must be spent.

Mr. Salvaggio's first exposure to the practice of Divorce and Family Law came after he completed a Judical Clerkship for a New Jersey trial court judge. For many years, he helped clients resolve divorce cases as part of his practice, but did not focus exclusively on Divorce and Family Law.
In 1997, Mr. Salvaggio made the decision to do one thing and do it well. It was then that he established his own law firm, devoted exclusively to New Jersey Divorce and Family Law matters.
He remains extremely passionate about his work.
The Legal Professionals at Salvaggio Law Group LLC all recognize that each client is unique and that he or she deserves to be educated on all options, not just the traditional litigation approach, which will frequently generate higher lawyers fees, take longer and cause more conflict than other available ways to attempt to resolve their disputes.
At Salvaggio Law Group LLC, we realize that your divorce is unique. We also realize that it is not just a set of legal papers; it is a major life transition.
There is a lot to consider. If you have children, you have to deal with child custody, parenting time schedules and child support. If not, there may be issues regarding alimony or division of the marital assets and debtsâÂÂjust to name a few of the different things which need to be resolved in a New Jersey divorce.
You and your spouse may be able to amicably resolve all of these issues. Or you may be dealing with a spouse who is unreasonable or abusive. No two people are exactly alike and no two people deal with a divorce in the same way.
That is why we take the time ÂÂbefore we do anything else to understand your situation, your needs and your goals.
We then provide you with the individualized services you need and help you through your divorce in the way that is best for you and your family. We do this by offering a variety of legal options, which include not only litigation but also non-adversarial dispute resolution methods such as Collaborative Practice, Cooperative Practice and Mediation.
New Jersey Divorce Lawyer David Salvaggio heads the
Firm and is the foundation of its success. After graduating from Rutgers Law School in
1977 and completing a judicial clerkship for a New Jersey Superior Court trial judge, Mr.
Salvaggio embarked upon a career in the private practice of law that has now encompassed
30 years.
Mr. Salvaggio truly embodies the philosophy:
"Do one thing and do it well." He has handled thousands of cases, including
difficult divorces involving high net worth individuals, protracted custody disputes and
complicated equitable distribution issues. He is also a recognized expert in domestic
violence cases, which often are the most difficult to solve and require immediate and
expert attention.
In addition, Mr. Salvaggio has been instrumental
in developing alternatives to the traditional litigation process as a means for resolving
marital disputes. In furtherance of that goal, Mr. Salvaggio created and now heads Choice
Divorce Mediation Services which, in appropriate cases, helps divorcing couples determine
their own destiny, rather than suffer the trauma and expense of seemingly endless
litigation.
Ever since he founded the Firm, Mr. Salvaggio's
goal has always been to provide the highest level of legal representation to each of the
Firm's clients in New Jersey Divorce and Family Law Matters. He understands that each and
every client is special. No matter how big or how small the case, he provides personal
attention, sensitivity, responsiveness and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
