Patrick Roney, Member of Roney Law Office, LLC
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Attorney Patrick Roney presently lives
within the city limits with his wife and two children. Patrick’s father works
for the City of Milwaukee and his mother is a high school
librarian.
Patrick attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grade School on 64th
Street, just off of Capitol Drive. He attended high school at Pius XI High
School, where he played varsity volleyball. It was in high school that Patrick
began his commitment to the legal profession as an intern with the Wauwatosa
Police Department.
After high school Patrick studied Psychology and
Sociology at the University of Wisconsin Madison. While at UW Madison, Patrick
took evening courses to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
To help pay his way through school, he worked part-time as an EMT for Bell
Ambulance and the Elm Grove Rescue Squad.
Patrick is committed to serving
the country. In 1998 he left Madison to serve in the AmeriCorps National
Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). While in AmeriCoprs NCCC he worked as an EMT,
wildland firefighter, disaster relief worker and aid worker for many community
projects.
Upon returning to Wisconsin, Patrick completed undergraduate
studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he received a Bachelor
of Arts degree, suma cum laude, in 2000. He majored in both Psychology and
Sociology.
After graduating from the UW Milwaukee, Patrick received a
full scholarship to Marquette University Law School. While studying at Marquette
Law, Patrick was a legal aid to Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Kitty
Brennan. Judge Brennan now serves on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Patrick
completed his graduate law studies and received a Juris Doctorate degree in
2004. He continues to work closely with Marquette and in 2008 he served as coach
to the Mediation Moot Court Team.
