Richard Rizk is an Oregon and Federally licensed Attorney who knows how to effectively resolve and litigate long term disability claims. Because, since 1990 he has resolved disability disputes--as both a defense attorney and representing the disabled. Mr. Rizk began his disability insurance career in 1988 while still in law school writing disability appeals for State Accident Insurance Fund (SAIF) of Oregon. From 1989-90, he associated with the Portland law firm of Vick & Gutzler, where continued to author pleadings and motions in disability and personal injury contexts—this time on behalf of those with claims. In 1990 he served as in- house legal counsel to Wausau (Nationwide) Insurance Company representing policyholders in injury and disability litigation. From 1996 to 2000 from Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Rizk developed litigation strategies for The Nationwide Insurance Group. In this role, Mr. Rizk successfully resolved and directed high exposure, complex insurance claims nationally. Since 2001 Mr. Rizk, through his own firm, litigates and resolves insurance, disability and injury accident claims. Mr. Rizk passionately fights for individuals and small businesses up against inhospitable insurers.Although he no longer handles social security or workers’ compensation claims, he is intimately familiar with how those claims may impact disability and injury claims.
