Rhinold Lamar Ponder, the managing member of Ponder Tuck Ponder, LLC,  has provided quality legal services statewide since 1987.  Ponder Tuck Ponder, LLC., located in Princeton, New Jersey, is a practice which emphasizes bankruptcy, real estate and civil litigation.  

As an aggressive civil litigator, Rhinold has successfully represented consumers, small businesses, employees, tort victims, non-profit corporations (especially churches) general contractors, crime victims,  homeowners, landlords and tenants in a variety of actions.  He has litigated cases in municipal, superior and federal courts and has represented clients before a number of administrative agencies.  While he seeks the best possible solution for his client under the circumstances, his philosophy is to prepare for trial first at all times. As a former Appellate Division Clerk, he is also prepared to take questionable decisions to the next level with considerable skill and experience.

The firm's bankruptcy practice is extensive. We represent debtors in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcies.  The firm handles every aspect of bankruptcy from negotiating with secured and unsecured creditors to motion practice challenging actions and positions of creditors.   Rhinold takes pride in compassionately providing individuals and families an opportunity for a fresh financial beginning.

A significant part of Ponder Tuck Ponder's practice involves real estate.  We represent purchasers, sellers, developers, landlords and others in the sale, purchase and leasing of property.  We are experienced in drafting, analyzing and negotiating construction loans, all types of real estate contracts, and financing instruments. Our staff of paralegals are trained to handle all aspects of real estate closings and all employees participate in continuing legal education to enhance their skill level.

Rhinold Lamar Ponder earned his bachelor’s degree in political science, with honors from Princeton University.  He also achieved masters in Journalism and African American Studies while a Martin Luther King Fellow at Boston University. He earned his juris doctorate from New York University Law School where he was the editor-in-chief of the NYU Review of Law and Social Change.

His work in the community is extensive.  He presides over the Board of Trustees of Crossroads Theatre and Mercer Charter School of the Arts in addition to his work on the boards of  Middlesex County Legal Services and the Middlesex County Bar Association.  He has been appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to the Supreme Court Ethics Committee and the District VIII Fee Arbitration Panel.  He also served as a Public Defender for South Brunswick, a muniicpal prosecutor for the City of Newark and designated counsel for the New Jersey Public Defender Appellate Division.
