Experience

Prior to opening my own firm, I worked for Perkins Coie and Yarmuth Wilsdon Calfo in Seattle, and McEwen Gisvold in Portland, where I represented people and businesses in employment, intellectual property, real estate, and legal malpractice cases.  I have substantial experience in the federal and state courts of Oregon and Washington.

I am passionate about the practice of law and committed to the success of my clients.  I founded my own firm because I was frustrated by the constraints of law firm life.  Constraints on who I could represent, on how I could represent them, and how I could charge them.  The freedom I enjoy as a solo practitioner makes me a better lawyer, and my clients ultimately reap that benefit.

Education

I am proud to have attended the public schools of Vancouver, Washington.  I am equally proud of the year I spent at Clark Community College.

I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Redlands, where I honed my writing and listening skills.

Rather than put my ever-useful Creative Writing degree to work, I enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where I earned honors in legal writing and served as an editor on the Journal of Labor and Employment Law.
