The Claims and Appeals Process
After an initial application for benefits, most individuals receive a denial letter a few months later. If you have received a letter, you still have many opportunities to demonstrate your need and entitlement to benefits. Our attorneys will file a Request for Reconsideration, including all necessary medical and other documentation. If your claim is denied again, we will request a hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). If further appeals are necessary, we are more than prepared to take your case to the Social Security Appeals Council and federal court.
