Lori G. Levin is an experienced attorney primarily concentrating on criminal and juvenile defense, and mental health issues.
She is a vigorous advocate defending clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors in Illinois state and federal courts as well as in juvenile court. Her more than 30 years of experience within Illinois' criminal justice system ranges from being a forceful defense counsel, a former supervisor in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office and the head of the state's criminal justice agency.Her experience as the former Executive Director, Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, brings to her clients a breadth of experience that is uniquely beneficial. She directed the state agency dedicated to improving criminal justice and oversaw a budget of more than $100 million. Chaired Illinois Integrated Justice Information Systems Implementation Board and served on various boards including Illinois Violence Prevention Authority, Illinois Family Violence Coordinating Council, ReDeploy Illinois (juvenile justice) and Governor's Community Safety and Re-Entry Working Group.
As the former Supervisor, Seniors and Persons with Disabilities Division, Cook County State's Attorney's Office, she directed prosecution and investigation of white collar financial exploitation, violent crimes, abuse and neglect of elderly and disabled cases. Over course of 20+ years at Cook County State's Attorney's Office tried more than 50 felony and civil jury trials. As a prosecutor, spent more than 14 years in the Criminal Courts at 26th and California.
As a private attorney, she is a zealous advocate for her clients,handling criminal, traffic, juvenile, and adult and disabled persons guardianship cases.
