Description: A Chicago doctor and hospital ignored abnormal chest X-ray results, which caused a substantial delay in the diagnosis of lung cancer.

K.M. v. City of Chicago

Description: Our client, a 5-year-old boy, was run over by a City of Chicago Fire Department truck while he was playing in an open fire hydrant on the Fourth of July, resulting in the loss of his leg and half of his pelvis

R.C. V. Geils Farms et al.

Practice Area: Auto Accident

Description: This lawsuit was filed on behalf of the family of a 32-year-old woman who was killed when their pick-up truck was rear-ended by a semi-truck in Huntley, IL. Our client and his son both suffered significant personal injuries in the collision. The defendant truck driver was found to be under the influence of marijuana and operating an over-loaded, unsafe truck. In violation of federal regulations, the defendant truck owners failed to drug-screen or perform background checks on their drivers.

Outcome: $6.5 million settlement ($4.7 record Kane County wrongful death settlement)

D.C for Y.O. v. Advocate Lutheran General Hospital

Practice Area: Medical Malpractice

Description: Our client's infant daughter suffered a brain injury during birth after physicians failed to timely perform a c-section. These mistakes caused her to suffer from cerebral palsy and she now will require lifetime medical care and support.

Outcome: $6.5 million settlement

S.W. v. Renaissance at Hillside Inc.

Description: This nursing home lawsuit against a suburban Hillside nursing home and physician was filed for our 59-year-old client who developed multiple painful and infected bedsores which took four years to heal.

Outcome: $3 million record nursing home pressure sore settlement

C.M.for H.M. v. Winchester House

Practice Area: Nursing Home

Description: This record settlement was reached for an 83-year-old client who fell several times while a resident at the nursing home, with the last fall contributing to her death. Despite her risk for falls, the nursing home neglected to implement changes in her care plan to prevent further falls from occurring.

Outcome: $1 million record Lake County settlement
