Andrew Bernstein, Member of Law Offices of Joe Bornstein

Andrew J. Bernstein is a graduate of Bowdoin College and the University of Maine 
School of Law. He was admitted to the Maine state and federal courts in 1980. Andy was
a litigation partner at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson for 7 years. Through 2008, Andy
was an in-house disability insurance litigation and business attorney, holding leadership
positions at Unum and Disability RMS, Inc. Andy is a member of the University of Maine
School of Law Alumni Board and his Class Agent. For the past 2 years, he has been 
co-chair of the corporate lawyers section of the Maine Campaign for Justice. He is also a
past President of Congregation Bet Ha'am, and has been a Cape Elizabeth Little League 
umpire. His area of focus is Social Security disability law
