James Marszalek is in partnership with his brother, John Marszalek, who specializes in remedies other than workers compensation for the injuried person. The firm handles workers' compensation, Social Security disability claims, occupational disease and other types of personal injury cases. The main office is in Chicago, but the attorneys are available for free consulation at various venues throughout the state monthly in such cities as Kankakee, Joliet, Danville, Rock Island, and Champaign- Urbana. All cases in worker's compensation are taken on a contingency of 20% unless other arrangements are made. The general fee in workers' compensation cases is 20% of any recovery. No recovery results in no fee. In determining the best avenue to take in reaching the client's desired goal, many of the firm's attorneys review and give their perspectives on each case. The firm takes an active approach to the litigation of worker's compensation cases and is capable of taking worker's compensation cases all the way to the Supreme Court in Illinois (Industrial Commission Division).
