Frank J. Riccio II, Esq. practices with his father in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, worker's compensation and family law, with a strong emphasis on criminal law and litigation. Mr. Riccio holds his law degree from New York Law School. He is admitted to practice before Connecticut courts as well as federal courts in Connecticut and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He received his law degree from New York Law School in 1999, was admitted to the practice of law in Connecticut in 1999 and was admitted to practice in federal court in 2000.
Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Attorney Riccio II played a prominent role as Executive Editor of the New York Law School Moot Court Association from 1998-1999. In his role as Executive Editor, Attorney Riccio II edited appellate briefs for over 25 appellate competitions. Additionally, in 1999 Attorney Riccio II worked with Associate United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as well as Second Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Sonia Sotomayor (recently nominated to the United States Supreme Court) in preparing him for their positions as guest judges in the in the 1999 New York Law School Robert F. Wagner Labor Law Competition.
Once he began practicing in 1999, Attorney Riccio II immediately began trying civil and criminal cases, and has already tried over 65 civil and criminal trials to conclusion. He also has been arguing federal appeals at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, presenting issues relating to federal search and seizure and federal sentencing issues. Attorney Riccio II is learned in federal sentencing issues, including those relating to the United States Sentencing Guidelines and related case law. He is presently a member of the Connecticut Statewide Grievance Panel.
Recently, he has successfully defended former Major League Baseball player Jose Offerman in felony assault charges brought against him.
