Insurance Bad-Faith - $550,000 Settlement

Practice Area: Wrongful Death

Description: This was a wrongful death / bad-faith case against a health care insurance company. The client's cancer treatment was delayed until it was too late.

Outcome: The case settled on the eve of trial against the insurance company for $550,000.00.

Dog Attack - $125,000.00 Settlement

Practice Area: Wrongful Death

Description: Two unleashed dogs were roaming the neighborhood in this case. One of the animals jumped on an elderly woman, kocking her to the ground, and causing her to hit her head. Previously in good health, her health deteriorated and she eventually passed away less than a year later.

Outcome: Even though our client was 83 at the time of the incident, we were able to negotiate a settlement of $125,000.00.

Auto Accident - $120,000.00

Description: Our client was rear-ended and incurred approximately $25,000 in medical expenses.

Outcome: The case settled for $120,000.00.

Auto Accident / DUI - $100,000

Practice Area: Auto Accident

Description: Client was rear-ended by another vehicle as traffic halted on a congested freeway during rush hour. The client sustained back injuries. The other driver had been drinking before the accident. Our client's prior attorney filed the case in limited jurisdiction (less than $25,000). We had it removed to unlimited jurisdiction and alleged punitive damages for driving under the influence.

Outcome: This case was set to go to trial and settled just before trial was scheduled to begin for $100,000.
