Cal S. Stafilatos graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he excelled in criminal law and trial advocacy courses. He graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park, with a degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice. In 2002, Cal S. Stafilatos became a member of the Maryland State Bar and immediately began to work as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard H. Sothoron, Jr. in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County, where he drafted bench memoranda, opinions and orders. In addition, he assisted the Judge in all aspects relating to criminal and civil matters.
After the completion of his clerkship he began to work as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore County, where he prosecuted felony, misdemeanor, and traffic cases in the District Court. Mr. Stafilatos is a member of the U.S. District Court for Maryland and the Maryland State Bar as well as a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore County and Baltimore City Bar Associations.
