The attorneys at Scudder & Hedrick represent individuals who have been injured on the job.
The attorneys at Scudder & Hedrick represent individuals who have been injured on the job and individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. We also represent workers in asbestosis, silicosis, and other job-related chemical exposure claims and the families of workers in death claims. Partners Sam Scudder, John Hedrick, and April Seguin are Board Certified Specialists in Workers' Compensation Law as certified by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Our attorneys and staff work as a team to provide thorough, equitable, and individualized representation of our clients. Because each client's claim is different, we provide personalized attention to each of our clients from the initial consultation through the resolution of a claim. Although we may represent many clients whose injuries are similar, we do not process claims in mass groups. One of our firm policies is to complete our work by established deadlines and not to seek extensions of these deadlines. This expediency allows us to move your claim along as efficiently as possible.
Our offices are located in Raleigh, Morehead City, and Fayetteville, but we represent people all over the state of North Carolina. We will travel to your home or area for an initial consultation if you cannot come to one of our offices. Our practice is limited to claims that are linked to the state of North Carolina.
We do not charge a fee for an initial consultation, and our attorneys are available when you contact us to discuss your claim. Workers' compensation claims are handled on a contingency basis, which means that we are paid only if you recover. All of our fees in workers' compensation cases must be approved by the North Carolina Industrial Commission.
