Attorney Patrick T. Donovan obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Rochester.  After receiving his undergraduate degree, he went on to work for the Massachusetts State House of Representatives in Boston Massachusetts. There he worked as a legislative aide to the Speaker of the House. After five years of legislative work Patrick enrolled in Suffolk University Law School. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School with a Juris Doctorate. Patrick then successfully passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam on his first attempt and was sworn into the Massachusetts Bar. Patrick Donovan was also admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court in Massachusetts.          

Prior to becoming a criminal defense lawyer, Patrick Donovan served as a an Assistant District Attorney in Norfolk County.  Attorney Patrick Donovan worked in the Quincy, Stoughton, and Dedham District Courts as well as prosecuting cases in the Norfolk County Superior Court. As district attorney, Patrick Donovan handled thousands of cases, which gave him extensive criminal law experience.  He has prosecuted many cases involving drunk driving, domestic violence, and countless drug related offenses. 

Attorney Patrick Donovan also served on the Norfolk County District Attorney's White Collar Crime Unit where he prosecuted many complex cases. As a white collar prosecutor Patrick worked closely with the Insurance Fraud Bureau, the Massachusetts State Police, various Federal Agencies, as well a number of local police departments.
