Isaac H.
Winer is an experienced business lawyer and civil litigator who has practiced
law throughout California since 1992. Mr. Winer’s practice encompasses a broad
array of substantive areas, including business formations, funding and
governance, commercial contracts and agreements, technology licensing, civil
litigation and ADR across diverse subject matters. Mr. Winer’s clients have
included public and private companies in a variety of fields including software,
hardware, life science, internet, telecom and health care. He has also
represented start-up ventures, entrepreneurs, executives, professionals,
investors and other individuals. All of Mr. Winer’s clients share a common
thread – they seek experienced, practical and effective advice in the attentive
and cost-efficient manner that Mr. Winer practices law.
Prior to opening
his own practice, Mr. Winer managed the litigation practice of a local start-up
business law firm, where he also gained significant experience in transactional
and corporate matters ranging from business formations to technology licensing.
Mr. Winer has also served as corporate counsel at Cypress Semiconductor
Corporation, a
publicly traded company headquartered in Silicon Valley with
2007 annual revenues at $1.5 billion and 7,900 employees throughout the world.
At Cypress, Mr. Winer served as a business law generalist, handling a wide range
of transactional, corporate and dispute management matters. Prior to working in
Silicon Valley, Mr. Winer served as an associate attorney in two large West
Coast law firms based in Los Angeles, where his practice focused on complex
business litigation in a broad array of business disputes involving issues of
contract, tort, real estate, intellectual property and other areas of law.
Mr. Winer earned his undergraduate degree in 1989 from Stanford
University where he graduated with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He
received his law degree from U.C.L.A. School of Law in 1992 where he received an
American Jurisprudence Prize Award. Mr. Winer served as an extern to the Hon.
William A. Ingram, Chief Judge of the United State District Court for the
Northern District of California located in San Jose, California.
Mr.
Winer resides in Palo Alto, California with his wife and two children. He is an
active member of the local community, where he volunteers his time for local
charitable and social organizations, and enjoys coaching his children’s baseball
and basketball league teams.
