Real Estate Attorney Craig G. Biscone is based in Garden City, New York. Since 1987, Mr. Biscone has represented home builders and contractors, lending institutions, individuals, corporations, and municipal agencies. He began his legal career as in-house counsel to Citibank, N.A. in New York City coordinating title clearance issues with support staff and delegating bank employee mortgage loan files to outside counsel. Mr. Biscone currently services several out of state lenders as closing agent. He has served as Counsel to the Town of North Hempstead Community Development Agency in connection with deferred re-development loans and recapture mortgages for the Affordable Housing Program. He has served as Village Prosecutor for the Incorporated Village of Atlantic Beach since 1998 and handled both Traffic and Village Code violations with specific concentration on Building Code matters. Mr. Biscone is a former intern at the New York State Department of Law, Office of the Attorney General-Real Estate Finance Bureau. In 2005, he was appointed to the Advisory Board for First American Title Insurance Company of New York. Concentration of Practice: Land Use, Zoning Appeals, Commercial and Residential Real Estate transactions, Leasing and Financing, Building Code Violation Defense and Vehicle and Traffic law matters. Mr. Biscone has been involved with many of Long Island=s major residential developments and appears regularly before the Board of Zoning Appeals for the Town of Hempstead, the Town of North Hempstead and the Town of Oyster Bay as well as a myriad of villages. Mr. Biscone has also lectured for the Nassau Academy of Law at the Nassau County Bar Association=s Continuing Education Program in the area of Real Estate Law and was Lecturer at the Columbian Lawyer=s Association=s annual AHow to Handle Your First Closing@ program for newly- admitted attorneys. In addition, Mr. Biscone frequently speaks to community groups, real estate brokers, cooperative and condominium associations on select topics involving real estate as well as lender sponsored seminars to home purchasers with specific emphasis on first time home buyers. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from State University of New York at Binghamton-School of Management. B.S. awarded 1983; Juris Doctor degree from St. John=s University School of Law. J.D. Awarded 1986. Community Service: Mr. Biscone served on the Board of Directors for the Garden City Nursery School as Publicity Director and was a Director and Treasurer of the Garden City Central Property Owners Association from 1999 to 2003. He has coached Soccer, Baseball, Hockey and Basketball in the Garden City youth leagues and writes articles for the Garden City News for various youth sports teams including The Long Island Junior Select/United States Olympic Development Team. Family: Craig G. Biscone is married to Merril Schapiro Biscone, a Garden City Village Court Justice and an Appellate Practice Attorney with Uniondale, New York - based Rivkin, Radler and former Senior Law Assistant at the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division Second Department. They have three children and reside in Garden City, New York.
