Morton and Russo is a community based law firm. Partners Amy Morton and Dan Russo have both resided, and operated a successful law firm in Solano County for the last thirty years. Combined, both Amy and Dan have practiced law in Solano County, and throughout California for a total of fifty plus years.
Amy and Dan are both California State Bar Certified Criminal Law Specialists, with Amy being the first female to have achieved that recognition in the Solano County Criminal Defense Bar. Beyond that recognition, Amy is a nationally known Death Penalty Defense Attorney, having lectured on Death Penalty/Capital case issues throughout the State. She has tried numerous Death Penalty/Capital cases, and has been previously recognized as Woman Defense Lawyer of the year, by the Women Defenders Association. Her primary practice focuses on homicides and other major felonies. She also handles a wide variety of criminal cases.
Dan Russo is a former President and Vice President of the Solano County Bar Association. He is a current member of the State Bar Committee on Criminal Law Specialization. As a professor at his alma mater, John F. Kennedy Law School, he has taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Criminal Trial Advocacy. In 2000 Dan was recognized as Professor of the Year. Dan has tried in excess of two hundred jury trials, and most recently in 2008 earned acquittals in two well documented Solano County homicide trials: People v. David Bell, and People v. Chad Lodel.
