Mr. Jerry Joseph, Esq. founded the Law Office of Jerry Joseph, PLC to provide high-quality, yet affordable, patent advice to independent inventors, small businesses, and large corporations.
Mr. Joseph earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA. While attending WPI, Mr. Joseph worked as a Research & Development Engineer at Bayer Diagnostics where he helped develop medical diagnostic equipment used in critical care of patients. Mr. Joseph then went on to work as a Manufacturing Engineer at Insulet Corporation where he helped design and manufacture innovative disposable insulin pumps, while at the same time pursuing a juris doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, MA.
Mr. Joseph is admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar and the United States Patent Bar (Registration No. 59,869).
Over the past several years, Mr. Joseph has gained valuable prosecution and litigation experience while working at large nationally ranked intellectual property law firms in Boston, MA, Hartford, CT, and Washington, DC. Mr. Joseph has developed a strong understanding of foreign and domestic patent law by working on hundreds of cases for both foreign and domestic clients.
In particular, Mr. Joseph has worked on all aspects of intellectual property law, including preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications, filing trademark applications, preparing infringement and validity opinions, preparing licensing agreements, conducting due diligence analyses, and drafting freedom-to-operate opinions. In addition, Mr. Joseph has also developed a strong technical expertise in areas including mechanical and electrical devices such as liquid crystal display devices, organic light emitting diodes, plasma display devices, image forming apparatuses, and medical devices.
