Case History
Booth v. Sidwell and Aspen Water, Inc.
Practice Area: Business
Description: Aspen Water Inc. and Sidwell failed to pay Booth for sales commissions earned in 2008. Booth sued to get his wages and commissions.
Outcome: We won a $95,000 judgment for Booth and attorneys fees for a total judgment of more than $100,000.
Dye v. Dye
Practice Area: Divorce
Description: Young couple with three teenage children and a family business with more than $5 million a year in sales got divorced. Major issues with custody and division of assets, including valuation of the company and major litigation over who would continue to run the company. We represented the mother, who also ran the company as the CEO, while the husband was the President.
Outcome: We won full custody of the kids and control of the company successfully ousting the husband from any control of the company.
Mills v. Mills
Practice Area: Family
Description: We represented the husband in a case where his wife was withholding visitation from him years after his divorce.
Outcome: Successfully secured a new custody order and visitation plan for husband.
Radke v. Radke
Practice Area: Divorce
Description: We represented the wife in a contentious divorce with no children, but lots of assets. The wife was a professional athlete and executive and the husband was a police officer who abused her. She was the primary wage earner with income well into the six figures, and they had been married for over 16 years.
Outcome: We won possession of the house and a verdict for no alimony to be paid to the husband even though she made so much more than him.
Kit Workman, et al. v. Shepherd
Practice Area: Business
Description: We successfully defended a local homebuilder in a lawsuit by an entire subdivision that alleged violations of the CCRs of the development.
Outcome: We won the case and a judgement for $31,000 in attorneys fees.
Hayes v. Hayes
Practice Area: Divorce
Description: Highly contested divorce with millions in property division disputed including commercial real estate and business interests; one child only two years old with highly contested custody issues.
Outcome: We succeeded in negotiating a very favorable settlement for our client during mediation that included cash payout for her interest in the estate and custody with a mutually beneficial parenting plan.
State of Utah in Re: Michael Doe
Practice Area: Family
Description: We represented the biological father in a Salt Lake Juvenile Court case wherein the mother and stepfather were found to have been abusing and neglecting a 14 yr old boy by locking him in a closet without food, water or even room to lay down.
Outcome: We won a judgment at trial that granted sole physical & legal custody and child support to our client.
Tornblom v. Tornblom
Practice Area: Child Custody
Description: We represented Father who was a resident of Texas along with children and were hired to dispute jurisdiction and move jurisdiction and venue from Utah to Texas.
Outcome: We secured an order transferring jurisdiction under the UCCJEA to the state courts of Texas.
Davila v. Davila
Practice Area: Divorce
Description: We represented the dentist husband in a Divorce of a long-time couple with lots of assets and several trusts.
Outcome: Negotiated a favorable settlement that allowed our client to maintain full control of all assets.
Dye v. Dye
Practice Area: Divorce
Description: We represented the wife and mother in a highly contested divorce of couple with three minor children and $millions in a business that went to trial. This case stretched across two jurisdictions and was tried in both Utah and Alaska.
Outcome: Won a judgment at trial for mother to control the entire company and sole custody of children.
