Daniel Jensen, a Santa Clara native, is recognized as one of the most effective litigators in Santa Clara County. He has successfully defended 1st degree murder cases in state courts and has successfully prosecuted complex civil rights violations in federal court. Ms. Diaz is a graduate of Golden Gate University, School of Law in San Francisco, CA, where she was awarded the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence in Family Law. She also participated in various organizations and community services groups throughout law school, where she served as the President and Vice-President of the Latino American Law Student Association and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2003. Ms. Diaz received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Daniel Jensen, Ms. Diaz clerked for the Honorable Marjorie Slabach in the Family Law Department of the San Francisco Superior Court and worked for several family law practitioners in San Francisco, Ca.
Ms. Diaz is currently an associate attorney at the Law Office of Daniel Jensen, where she practices mostly family law and civil litigation. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and is a member of the Santa Clara Bar Association, where she volunteers for the High School Mock Trial Competition.
Ms. Daughetee was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. Her practice focuses on criminal defense and family law.
Ms. Daughetee is a graduate of the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law where she was a member of the Traynor Honor Society and Womens Caucus. She also represented McGeorge in student negotiations competitions, placing second in the 2006 American Bar Association Regional Negotiation Competition and in the top ten in the 2006 American Bar Association National Negotiation Competition.
During law school, Ms. Daughetee worked as a judicial extern for Justice M. Kathleen Butz of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District. She also clerked in the Legal Affairs Department of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the Yavapai County Public Defenders Office in Prescott, Arizona, and worked as a research assistant for a Wills and Trusts Professor.
Ms. Daughetee earned a bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in English from Hendrix College in 2001, and a bachelors degree in Social Science from the University of North Texas in 2004.
Prior to joining the Law Office of Daniel Jensen, Ms. Daughetee was a solo practitioner whose practice was devoted to both family law and criminal defense. She has also worked extensively with the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley as a volunteer attorney.
Ms. Daughetee is an active member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association, serving as the Secretary of the Barristers Executive Committee and as a member of the Law Related Education Committee and the Family Law Section. She is a 2008 graduate of the SCCBA Barristers Leadership Program. Ms. Daughetee is also a volunteer mentor for VIP Mentors, and is a member of the VIP Advisory Committee.
