Description: State v. S. My client, a young man enlisted in the Navy was accused of raping a young woman while she was intoxicated. The case proceeded to jury trial. The young woman testified, and, when confronted by my vigorous cross examination regarding the incosistencies in her statements, broke down, essentially admitting having lied throughout the case. In the middle of my questioning, finally confronted by her lies, she ran off the witness stand and through a fire exit, setting off the fire alarm in the entire courthouse. After a two week trial the jury came back with a verdict of Not Guilty within an hour. They hugged my client and shook my hand.

Child Abuse Case Victory

Description: State v. B. My client, a divorced father, was falsely accused of assaulting his child by his ex-wife, in an attempt to ruin the father-son relationship. The case was ready to proceed to trial. The prosecutor was given the materials from the divorce case which I planned on using to impeach the mother with, and, upon viewing the impeachment evidence, the prosecutor dismissed the case.
Outcome: Prosecutor was forced to dismiss the case.
