Hussein Karmali, Member of Karmali Law Office
Hussein Karmali was born and raised in Washington State. He got a BA in English from the University of Washington and attended law school in Lansing, Michigan. He came back to Washington and completed an externship as a public defender with the City of Kent. There, he learned about criminal law from the ground up and interacted with a diverse number of clients. Through this, he gained his first understanding of what the criminal justice is about and how to place clients in the best position to succeed by minimizing their exposure to risk.
After his externship, he entered private practice where he gained even more practical experience by handling criminal cases in various courts throughout the State of Washington. He learned the importance of understanding the different judges in the various courts throughout the state. He also negotiated cases with a number of different prosecutors.
