Jeremy A. Gibson, Member of Jeremy A. Gibson & Associates, P.C.

Mr. Gibson is a general corporate and commercial attorney, with significant transactional, intellectual property, technology, regulatory and risk management concentrations. He often serves as general counsel for clients.  He handles everything from start-up and day-to-day issues for small businesses to major transactions in excess of $250 million.  He has worked with clients in most sectors, including automotive, capital equipment, consulting, consumer products, electronics, services and software.

Prior to starting his own firm to deliver sophisticated counseling at reasonable rates. he spent more than 15 years representing world-class companies at two leading Chicago law firms, as well as in-house for an international corporation.

At BearingPoint, the global technology and consulting spinoff of KPMG, Mr. Gibson was responsible for the company’s worldwide intellectual property and software portfolio, marketing initiatives, IBM and SAP alliance matters and information technology outsourcing.

At Chapman and Cutler, he focused on alternative energy projects and environmentally sensitive businesses, after initially handling securities, finance, commercial, employment and regulatory litigation.

At Masuda Funai, a boutique law firm for U.S. ventures and subsidiaries of major Japanese companies, Mr. Gibson continued his general corporate practice and helped start and coordinate the intellectual property & technology practice group. He was a principal of the firm for a number of years.

Mr. Gibson is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and Indiana University, where he was awarded National Merit, IU Foundation, Scripps-Howard and Pulliam scholarships.
