Leonard G. London, Member of HoganWillig Attorneys at Law
“After spending the past five years in the offices of HoganWillig as a sole practitioner, I am excited to join the firm as Special Counsel in its Corporate & Business Law Department.
In law school I specialized in taxation and after graduation joined a large firm in Buffalo where my practice emphasized tax planning for businesses, individuals and estates. In 1977, I established my own practice which over the years grew through referrals from clients, accountants and lawyers. My business clients are both small and large U.S. and Canadian Companies. When clients have had unusual challenges I have often been able to fashion unique solutions which enabled a transaction to occur. I believe it is not sufficient for a lawyer to tell a client why something can’t be done – it is a lawyer’s responsibility to try to figure out a way to do it.
I have also represented individual clients in most areas of the law including estate planning, real estate transactions, creating trusts, administering estates and representing credit unions and private foundations. Over the years I have had experience in nearly all areas of the law.
I also believe a lawyer has a responsibility to the community in which he or she practices. I have been the incorporator of two not-for-profit corporations of which I have had the privilege of serving as an officer and director for more than 25 years.
I look forward to working with the dynamic people at HoganWillig and believe my experience and imaginative approach to problem-solving and their skills and enthusiasm will be of great benefit to our clients.”
