Our Philosophy and Our Approach - Family Law

We understand that divorce, custody disputes, the division of assets and liabilities, and other family law related issues are stressful life events and can be emotionally draining to those going through these circumstances. In recognition of this fact, our Firm brings the compassion, skill, knowledge and proficiency to deal with both the intellectual issues and the emotional turmoil that these events can cause.

• At our firm, we take a proactive and intellectual approach to the practice of law. Our experience in current law allows us to apply the unique facts of each client's case to design a legal plan in an effort to accomplish each client's goals.
  
  
• We use mediation to settle differences between parties, if possible. Our firm always attempts to settle the parties' differences with mediation while striving to ensure that each client's unique goals are met in the process.
  
  
• Our firm engages in Litigation when required. The Firm possess the trial skills and knowledge so that if a judge has to decide legal issues, our goals are to make sure that the client's case is on a sound legal footing and to make our clients feel comfortable and well protected in our courtrooms.

Most importantly, our firm is concerned with the emotional and other needs of our clients. We believe that since the legal processes can take an emotional and physical toll, the firm should also assist our clients through the challenges of these legal processes while at the same time respecting their human needs.

He has been honored by the New Mexico State Bar three times with appointments to serve on the Judicial Selection Committee.
