Overview
Hare Wynn's philosophy is based upon a dedication to protecting and preserving the dignity and rights of all individuals. It is the firm's commitment to seek justice for victims of injury - physical, intellectual, legal, or financial. Individuals, unlike most corporate clients, have neither the resources to absorb often-devastating personal loss, nor effective political alliances organized on their behalf.
An important part of this commitment deals with a concept known as "The Therapeutic Role of Torts": Experience has proven the power of a single lawsuit to eliminate the dangers caused by unsafe products or practices when legislative regulations and industry standards fail to protect the public.
Hare Wynn's broad and deep experience also allow it to provide small business clients, in need of legal redress, effective advocacy and cross-disciplinary representation from lawyers accustomed to litigating from the plaintiff's perspective. When the future of a small business hangs in the balance, our lawyers are often chosen to become an integral part of the litigation team.
Perhaps the strongest testament to the firm's vision of the law as a higher calling is its long-standing willingness to share information and experience with other firms who support their vision.
Regardless of prevailing wisdom that ends justify means, the members of Hare Wynn have and will always adhere to the strictest ethical standards of its Bar Associations.
Separate and apart from the practice of law, the firm's members recognize the obligations of citizenship. As individuals and as a group, the firm is committed to reinvesting its energies and resources into bettering the communities and states in which we live and practice our profession.

He has also served as lead counsel in a complex class action in which he represented hundreds of industrial customers in a breach of contract action, a case which resulted in an $18,000,000 settlement. When the University of Alabama faced significant penalties from the NCAA in the mid-1990s, the school’s Faculty Athletics Representative turned to the firm for help. After Mr. Ermert and two other Hare Wynn attorneys made presentations before the NCAA Infractions Appeals Committee, many of the sanctions were overturned and the firm’s client was exonerated -- the first successful appeal in NCAA history. Over the years, Mr. Ermert has also represented individuals, families, and small businesses in a wide variety of litigation ranging from catastr
