Virender Goswami earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with honors from Delhi University, India in 1978. He went on to earn his LLB from Delhi University, India where he graduated in the top three percent of his class. In 1981, he became a member of the Bar Council of Delhi, India. He then studied law at the University of San Diego in California and received his master’s in comparative law in 1988. Mr. Goswami has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1987, the American Bar Association since 1987, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1992. He has acted as Northern California Chapter liaison with the District Counsel U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement agency.

Virender Kumar Goswami has been a preeminent practicing immigration lawyer in San Francisco, CA for over two decades. He worked as an attorney, specializing in immigration matters, with the Thierman Law Partnership and the Law Office of Steven Adair MacDonald in San Francisco. Mr. Goswami established the Law Offices of Virender Kumar Goswami in 1991.

Mr. Goswami has established an excellent working relationship with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) officials at local USCIS offices and at the various Service Centers that process immigration applications. He has obtained immigration visa for researchers, scientists, engineers, businesspersons, investors, and many other professionals.

Virender Goswami has vigorously and successfully represented clients at all stages of removal and deportation proceedings, including the Board of Immigration Appeals, Federal District Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals. He has lectured internationally and has written articles in newspapers on the subject of U.S. Immigration Law. He has also been on television and radio as an expert commentator on issues relating to Immigration.
