Mr. Courtman is a civil and criminal litigation attorney with significant experience providing a full spectrum of legal services to his clients. He advises clients on a wide variety of matters, including international corporate transactions, complex multi-million-dollar government contracts, internal affairs investigations, criminal defense, corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and federal civil rights litigation. His clients include government contractors, international corporations, business and financial organizations, as well as individuals and small business owners.
Mr. Courtman also proudly represents law enforcement and correctional officers in matters related to their employment, including officer-involved critical incidents and internal affairs investigations, and currently serves as contract counsel for the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Virginia Division.

Mr. Courtman’s state court practice includes family law (divorce, child support, custody and visitation), criminal defense, and general civil litigation in state court and state administrative hearings.
