Don specializes in Family Litigation, Mediation, and Collaborative Law, serving clients in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Yolo, and East Bay Counties . His business offices are in Gold River, California, with conference offices in Concord and San Ramon.
Don is a Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a leading authority on family relations, child development and family stress, and has lectured extensively in the United States, Europe and New Zealand. He holds a PhD in Family Sociology, and a PhD in Counseling, as well as a Doctorate in Law.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Sacramento County Bar Association, chairman of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service, past-co chair of the Volunteer Pro Bono Mediator at the Sacramento Family Courts and a legislative analyst on the Family Law Executive Subcommittee on family law legislation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar and the Sacramento County Bar Association.
