A licensed attorney since 1994 and a former prosecutor, Eric J. Davis has successfully represented numerous individuals in simple and complex criminal cases. He has extensive experience in criminal law and has tried over 85 jury trials. He has won over 80 percent of the cases he has tried and most recently successfully defended a murder case. After the client was found not guilty of murder, a second murder case was dismissed. Past successes are no guarantee of future results. Results depend on the facts of each case.

Eric J. Davis Bio

Eric J. Davis has been a practicing attorney since 1994 and is the senior member of our law office.  Mr. Davis graduated from Tulane University Law School with honors in 1994.  He is also a graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyer's College where he learned trial advocacy skills from some of the best trial lawyers in the country.  He has successfully defended numerous criminal cases in Federal and State Court.  Our office has obtained not guilty verdicts and dismissals in Murder cases, DWIs, Assaults, and Aggravated Sexual Assaults and theft of mail matter cases to name a few.  We have obtained numerous dismissals and grand jury 'no bills' in all types of cases.  Mr. Davis has tried over 85 cases to verdict.  He has won over 80 percent of the cases he has tried.

In 2006, Mr. Davis received an "Unsung Hero Award" from the Harris County Criminal Layers Association.  In that same year, he received the "Man of the Year Award" from the Houston Business and Professional Women's Association.  He was featured in a bio printed in the Houston Chronicle for his work that freed Arthur Mumphrey who had been wrongfully imprisoned for over 18 years.  Although the government reported that there were no samples to test for DNA, Mr. Davis pressed forward and found the DNA that freed Arthur Mumphrey.  After Mumphrey was pardoned, Mr. Davis secured financial compensation for Mumphrey in excess of $450,000.00.

In 2003, Mr. Davis received a commendation from the Texas State Legislature for his service as Special Counsel to the Texas State Commission on Judicial Conduct.  For the Commission, Mr. Dav
