Jason Carnell, Member of David West & Associates

Jason Carnell is a Cum Laude graduate of Georgia State's College of Law. While there, Jason was a two-time member of the school's Mock Trial Team where he competed in tournaments in both Atlanta, GA and Buffalo, NY. Jason also interned for the Georgia Attorney General in the Regulated Industries and Professions Division as well as the City of Atlanta's Law Department where he defended the City in numerous land-use disputes.

Prior to law school, Jason attended the University of Central Florida where he received a degree in History and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Jason was accepted into the Air Force ROTC program while an undergraduate student and was commissioned as a 2nd Leiutenant upon graduation from college.

After serving 4 1/2 years, Jason was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal and was Honorably Discharged. He then went on to become a construction superintendant for the country's 2nd largest privately owned homebuilder. Both of his pre-law careers gave him extensive leadership and management experience and taught him the value of a dollar.

Since being hired by David West, Jason has been involved in dozens of felony and misdemeanor cases including Georgia RICO Act violations, Trafficking, Aggravated Assault and more. In one of his first cases, Jason successfully suppressed the discovery of a firearm possessed by a convicted felon due to an illegal search.
