David L. Miller Bio

David Miller is a practicing attorney who also serves as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. As a trustee, he is currently administering several hundred asset cases which together represent nearly $10 million that will be distributed to creditors. He also serves as a part-time municipal court judge in two small Utah cities, and is married with eight children and four grandchildren.

In 1985, Mr. Miller obtained a Masters of Law Degree in Taxation from the Golden Gate University in San Francisco after previously graduating with honors from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. Before opening his own law office in 1998 and being appointed as a Trustee in 1999, he worked in the Bankruptcy Court as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and in the Tax Court on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service. He was employed by the IRS' Office of Chief Counsel for nearly 15 years in San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Mr. Miller also worked for a year in Shell Oil Company's tax law department in Houston.
