David Bean, Member of David Bean

David joined Wyse Kadish as an associate in 2004 after practicing family law in Portland for three years.  In 2008, he was promoted to partner.  While David focuses primarily on family law, his experience lends itself to assisting clients with a variety of issues.

In 1996, David graduated, cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in geography and philosophy.  In 2001, he earned his J.D. from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College and became a member of the Cornelius Honor Society.  He was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 2001.

As a lawyer, as in life, David’s goal is to leave people better off than he found them.  While legal matters can be taxing, David’s awareness of his clients’ needs and his ability to communicate serve his clients well.

David enjoys being active in the community.  He served as President on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Section of the Multnomah Bar Association.  He is on the organizing committee for the Multnomah County Family Law Group.  He solicits on behalf of the Campaign for Equal Justice and the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.  He is also an Officer of the Owen M. Panner American Inn of Court.  Through his membership with the Inn of Court, David coached the Jefferson High School mock trial team for several years.

While not practicing law or participating in the community, David enjoys time with his wife, daughter and dog Jelly.  He has advanced ranks in both kung-fu and karate and loves good sushi and Oregon Pinots.
