 Founding shareholder Annesley H. DeGaris has practiced law in the public and private sectors for 20 years. Practice areas include environmental, medical device, pharmaceutical, motor vehicle accident, and mass tort litigation. A writer and frequent speaker, he serves as his firm’s lead counsel in several pharmaceutical mass torts, and has been appointed to Plaintiff’s Steering Committees in multidistrict litigations. Mr. DeGaris is AV‑rated and holds an LLM from the University of Melbourne, Australia and a J.D. magna cum laude from Cumberland School of Law. He has taught courses at Emory University School of Law and the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is currently a professor of constitutional law at Birmingham School of Law.
