Criminal Law

While in law school in 1991, I worked with a city prosecutor's office where I learned how criminal procedure works. I now use the lessons I learned there to ensure that the constitutional rights of my criminal defendant clients are protected.

My Philosophy of Criminal Law and Procedure

I sincerely believe in the guarantee of the United States Constitution: You are presumed innocent under the law unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted by a jury of your peers. That means that if I am not able to negotiate a feasible plea bargain that protects your rights and keeps you out of jail, I am committed to pursuing your rights to a jury or bench trial, if we decide together that a trial is the best option.

My Estate Planning Philosophy

Over the years that I have been in practice, I have developed a deliberate attitude towards estate planning: All adult Pennsylvanians, no matter the size of their estates, should have the estate planning documents needed to protect the interests of their loved ones. Too often, when family members become elderly or disabled and are no longer able to conduct their affairs, or they pass away, the bereaved family is left without the direction they need to follow their loved ones' wishes.
