Sall v. Smiley's Golf Complex
Practice Area: Personal Injury
Description: Young boy struck by lightning while playing golf. Now brain-damaged and requires 24-hour care.
Outcome: Bryson proved that the golf course had the technology to determine when dangerous storms were moving into the area. After taking the case to the Supreme Court of Kansas, the golf course settled with the boy's parents so their son could receive 24-hour care. Golf courses around the country now employ lightning detection to avoid these types of serious injury.
Fudge v. City of Kansas City Police Department
Practice Area: Asbestos
Description: Drunk patron was allowed to leave a bar and get in his car at the direction of police on the scene. Two blocks later, the drunken driver ran into a young man who died leaving a wife and three small children.
Outcome: Bryson pursued an action against the police officer and the City of Kansas City, Kansas for failure to take the visibly intoxicated driver into protective custody. The jury returned a seven-figure verdict against the City and its police department revised its internal regulations to prevent a similar occurrence.
In re Silicone Breast Implants

Description: Bryson filed one of the first breast implant cases in the country resulting in a nationwide class action against the implant industry.
