I-601 Waiver of Inadmissibility

Description: Client was subject to the Ten-Year bar pursuant to INA Section 212(a)(9)(B)(v)because he had been unlawfully present in the United States for over one year.
Outcome: Approved. The waiver application which I prepared on behalf of the client was approved by the U.S consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) Reopened Case
Practice Area: Immigration Law
Description: Client had an Immigration and Nationality Act(INA) Section 204(c) (fraudulent/Sham marriage), determination and had been ordered removed. Prior attorney filed an appeal with the BIA which was dismissed. Based on facts of the case I decided to file a motion to reopen with the Board.
Outcome: The BIA (Board of Immigration Appeals) reopened the case and remanded it to the Immigration Judge for further adjudication
